5 Current Games with N64 Graphics
When I was younger, I played the crud out of my N64. I still have the N64, but I play on a portable with better graphics today, and it's in the closet. The point is that this console brings back a lot of memories for myself and many others my age. A guest on the Get Played podcast was discussing recent titles that had an N64 platformer vibe. I am sharing my discoveries with you after going down a rabbit hole!
Gwen the Hen 64
This game was a lot of fun and adorable. You take on the role of Gwen, a hen. To assist in the creation of chocolate, you must visit eight distinct realms and gather a magic stone. This game has an incredibly smooth and fast platforming. The finest aspect? You can defeat it in less than an hour. I played for thirty-two minutes in total.
Corn Kidz 64
Corn Kidz is a tribute to the era's Banjo Kazooie collect-athons. In fact, it does what Yooka Laylee set out to do. You take on the role of a goat who gets into trouble because he wants some nachos. The skills in the game are fantastic and quite enjoyable to utilize. I strongly advise trying this one!
Super Kiwi 64
I adored Kiwi 64. In addition to having fantastic characters, this game features a feature that allows you to scale on surfaces with your beak. The stages were short but enjoyable to explore, and the gameplay felt like a lot of fun. Additionally, a game akin to a sequel is included.
Valkie 64
This is similar to "My First Zelda." Although it is a Zelda-like game, it features those amazing N64-like graphics. Although it is pretty simple, it is also enjoyable. Those who enjoy Majora's Mask and Ocarina of Time will find it easy to appreciate and not go overboard.
Toree Series
The games in Toree are fantastic. They are brief and straightforward, but they are also highly addictive. As a chicken-like character in the game, you must sprint to the conclusion of each level. In order to complete each level, you must gather particular objects, and at the conclusion, there is a large boss. The best aspect is that the series has a ton of games to keep you busy.
