Vita3K Android Setup Guide

Installation

http://github.com/Vita3K/Vita3K-Android/releases/ is the download link.

To keep Vita3K updated, I strongly advise using Obtainium; if not, you'll have to install the APKs for each update from that link manually. This is a link to my Obtainium guide.

Install the APK on your Android gadget. Crack it open.

Permit pop-ups; you might see one concerning unidentified sources.

Choose your language.

Scroll down to Download Update after selecting Download Firmware. To download the File, press and hold the button and choose "open a new tab."

Return to Vita3K, choose the File we just downloaded (PSVUPDAT.PUP), and click Install Firmware File. Give it time to install. Press OK.

After that, click Download Font Package, and the download should start independently.

Return to Vita3K, choose the File we just downloaded (PSP2UPDAT.PUP), and click Install Firmware File. Give it time to install. Press OK.

In the lower right corner, click Next.

Once more, click Next. Click OK after that.

A welcome message box will appear; you can either click the X in the top right corner to close it or scroll down to choose Close after unchecking Show Next Time.

Choose Create User now, then type in any username or image you desire. Press OK.

After choosing Automatic User Login, choose your username.

You are now in front of the Vita screen. To disable on-screen controls, select Controls at the top, then Overlay, and uncheck Show Gamepad Overlay.

To install your games, click File in the upper left corner. Depending on the format of your Vita ROMS, I usually select Install ZIP because my own Vita collection is compressed. I need to find out where ROMS are for obvious legal reasons. However, Reddit and the ROMS subreddit might be a decent place to start.

To install a game, choose it from the Vita ROM directory.

You can launch any game from the home screen, and if you press the back button on Android or your smartphone (if it has one), the game will launch and let you escape.
