Where do you find files saved for every emulator and custom firmware?
This is a list of all the emulators and custom firmware that we use for our vintage handhelds, along with the locations of their saved files.
OnionOS – Miyoo Mini, Miyoo Mini Plus
- By default, saves are found in the location /Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/xxx (xxx is the core name).
- By default, states are found in the folder /Saves/CurrentProfile/states/xxx (xxx is the core name).
- For instance, the /Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/mGBA or gPSP folder would contain GBA saves, and the/Saves/CurrentProfile/states/mGBA or gPSP folder would include the states.
GarlicOS – Anbernic RG35XX
- By default, saves are found in the location /Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/xxx (xxx is the core name).
- By default, states are found in the folder /Saves/CurrentProfile/states/xxx (xxx is the core name).
- For instance, the /Saves/CurrentProfile/saves/mGBA or gPSP folder would contain GBA saves, and the/Saves/CurrentProfile/states/mGBA or gPSP folder would include the states.
ArkOS – Anbernic RG353 Series, RG503, RG351 Series, Powkiddy RGB30, RK2023, R35S/R36S, GameForce Chi
- By default, saves and states are kept in the directory /ROMs/xxx, where xxx is the system name.
- For instance, the /roms/gba subdirectory would contain GBA states and saves.
MinUI
- The default location for saves and states is /Saves/xxx, where xxx is the system name.
- For instance, the /Saves/GBA subdirectory would contain GBA states and saves.

- By default, saves are kept in the directory /MUOS/save/file/xxx (xxx is the core name).
- By default, states are kept in the directory /MUOS/save/state/xxx (xxx is the core name).
Anbernic RG35XX H & Anbernic RG35XX Plus
- By default, standalone saves are found in the /save/Roms/xxx (where xxx is the system name) folder.
- By default, RetroArch saves are found in the subdirectory /saves_RA/Roms/xxx (where xxx is the system name).
- By default, RetroArch states are found in the subdirectory /states_RA/Roms/xxx (where xxx is the system name).
- The /mnt/vendor/deep/drastic/ folder contains the Drastic saves. (You will require this tool to access this on Windows.)
- These folders would be on the second card in a two-card arrangement.
Stock Firmware –
TrimUI Smart Pro & TrimUI Smart
- The /RetroArch/.retroarch/saves folder is where RetroArch saves are, by default, stored.
Emulators – Android
RetroArch – Android
- Saves are found in the RetroArch/.retroarch/states folder, which by default contains the RetroArch states. Saves folder.
- The RetroArch/states folder includes the states.
- This would be on your internal storage on Android smartphones.
AetherSX2/NetherSX2 – Android
- The internal storage, Android, Data, xyz.aethersx2.android, files folder contains saves and states.
- States are located in the states folder, and saves are in the mem cards folder.
- Most Android apps cannot access them due to difficulties with permissions (FolderSync is an exception). To export saves and states from AetherSX2, you must first launch AetherSX2 and choose the Transfer Data option from the top left menu.
Citra Canary – Android
- When installing Citra, you are invited to create a folder containing all its settings, including the saves.
- /sdmc/Nintendo 3DS/00000000000000000000000000000000/0000000000000000000000000000/title/ is the path that follows.
Dolphin (Official) – Android
- The internal storage is Android, Data, com. dolphin emu. Dolphin emu (or org. dolphin emu. dolphin emu), and the files folder is where saves and states are kept.
- GameCube saves are located in the GC folder, followed by your region. The Wii title folder contains the Wii saves.
- The StateSaves folder includes states.
- Most Android apps (with the exception of FolderSync) do not provide access to these due to permission concerns. To export states and saves from Dolphin, you must launch Dolphin, choose Settings from the top right, then User Data, and finally Export User Data.
MelonDS – Android
- By default, saves and states are found next to the game file in the same ROM folder you chose.
M64Plus FZ – Android
- Because of Android's scoped storage, saves and states are, by default, hidden. There are two choices for you.
- Select Tools, Import/Export Data, and Export Game Data. Your saves will be included in the exported file.
- Going to Settings, Data, and setting the Game Data Storage Location to External is preferable. Next, designate a folder on your SD card or device as the External Game Data Location. You can call this folder M64Plus. Any file manager or syncing program will easily access your saves and settings.
PPSSPP – Android
- When you initially install PPSSPP, you are invited to create a folder containing all of its settings, including the states and saves.
- The location for saves is /PSP/SAVEDATA/, and for states, it is /PSP/PPSSPP_STATE/.
Vita3K – Android
- You can find the saves in internal storage, Android, Data, org.vita3k.emulator, files, Vita, ux0, user, 00, and save data.
- Most Android apps do not allow access due to permissions difficulties (FolderSync is an example). You can try to back up or overwrite them, but it might not work.
Yuzu – Android
- Internal storage, Android, Data, org. Yuzu.yuzu_emu, files, and, user, save, 000000000000000, xxx, and game title id is where you can find saves.
- Most Android apps (except FolderSync) do not provide access to them due to difficulties with permissions. To export states and saves from Yuzu, you must launch Yuzu, Yuzuse Settings from the top left, then Manage Yuzu Data, and finally click the import or export icon.
